This blog is for my friends - and their friends - a resource for random comments mostly focused on nutritional information, but would include related areas of overall health, exercise and attitude. I am dedicated - and have always been - to helping anyone who asks about any of these subjects, and if I don't know the answer, I will find it for you. So, ask away...m.

A Guide To Being Lazy
What??? From me??? Of course not! But I can give you a couple of ideas to get you up off the couch and out the front door. First, get a dog (I have some you can borrow!) - they are always first to the door, and if you don't hurry up, they might get so excited they pee on the floor - who wants that?? Second, have a cute guy (or girl) meeting you - of course you'll want to appear energetic, athletic, and eager to spend some time with whoever; and, third, get something new to work out in - pretty much nothing is more motivating than a new pair of shoes and a cute top (trust me on this!). The actual definition of laziness is not being inclined to be active despite the fact that you can be - so, the real thing you want to do is DECIDE your going put yourself in charge. You're going to to jump off the couch (and stay off!), confident that once you get going, your energy level will increase and you won't feel as tired; start by just walking slowly or doing a little yoga - get your blood flowing and your muscles warmed up - before you know it, you'll be chasing that little mutt (or whoever) down the street! Reward yourself with a cold shower and a cup of coffee, and you're good to go - YOU feel great and your little friend is happy until tomorrow! Have a nice weekend - Melissa
